When I was 5 years old I decided to give myself a haircut. I used my mother's manicure scissors. Unfortunately, I decided to only cut the hair on the crown of my head. While the rest of my hair was shoulder length, that one section was just a couple inches long. When my mother saw me she was mortified. I completely denied cutting my hair, despite the trail of hair I left on the way to showing my mother. Needless to say, for the next while my mother had to get creative with my hair the camouflage my handy work.

My niece has long perfect hair. What a blessing. Well, I guess she needs some help with hairstyles too. She was watching her mother cut her own hair and later decided to try it herself. Though she was maticulous, the result was a little scary. Now her mom is trying to find some good short hairstyles. Kids will be kids!
